My friends, the day has finally come. The all-new Nintendo Direct has arrived, and among many others, it has given us the long-awaited title and release date for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel.
While that was all Zelda news, fans were also treated to the reveal of Fire Emblem Engage, news of Pikmin 4 arriving in 2023, a new Octopath Traveler and Kirby game on the way, Goldeneye 007 heading to the Nintendo Switch Online, and more. So much.

Pikmin 4 will finally arrive in 2023
While we haven’t learned much about this, Shigeru Miyamoto stopped by Nintendo Direct to announce that Pikmin 4 will finally be released on Switch in 2023. This news is coming in a long time ago as Miyamoto previously stated that the game was “very” close to completion. In the year 2015.
Fire Emblem Engage has been announced as a new main game, featuring Marth
Fire Emblem Engage is the next major entry in the Fire Emblem series and will follow a story set a thousand years after the Four Kingdoms sealed off the great evil known as the Fell Dragon. In Engage, players will become a divine dragon named Alear who must work to collect the Emblem Rings in order to “restore peace to the Continent of Elyos”. During your journey, you will even be able to join other former Fire Emblem characters to your party like Marth and Celica.

Kirby’s return to Dream Land Deluxe brings Wii Classic to the switch
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land was first released on Wii in 2011 and 2023 will see it arrive on the Switch in a new, puffy pink package. This updated title features up to four multiplayer and a host of mini-games like Samurai Kirby and Magolor’s Tome Trackers.
