Japan often gets different game bundles, and it looks like this trend will continue with the upcoming Switch release, Nintendo World Series: NES Edition.
It has been revealed that the “Special” Famicom Edition actually comes with two Famicom wireless controllers. These appear to be the same ones available to Switch Online members in Japan and appear to replace the gold display cartridge found in the “Deluxe Collection” of the NES version.
Interestingly, There are also reports (Based on a translation on Nintendo’s Japanese website) that the Switch Online Famicom consoles themselves will soon be available to the general public in Japan. As is the case here, Switch Online consoles were previously only available to subscribers, but it looks like they will be available to everyone when this title launches in July.
If Nintendo decides to make Switch Online consoles available to the general public locally, we’ll be sure to let you know.
