Pixel 9 series wallpapers leaked with 'Swirling Petals' design.

Ahead of its expected launch later this year, wallpapers for the entire Google Pixel 9 series have leaked with a new ‘Swirling Petals’ theme, and a hint at the color variants available.

Every year, Google’s new smartphone series adds a new theme to its series of wallpapers. Last year, it was metal. This time, as well reported by Robot bodythe Pixel 9 series will come with “Swirling Petals”.

This new series of wallpapers features a transparent triangular theme containing colorful petal-shaped dots around the screen. Colors have plenty of contrast, but aren’t particularly vibrant (as is often the case with virtual backgrounds). As usual, there are light and dark versions of each wallpaper.

The series is divided into four different devices. Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

The flagship series of four devices is a new approach for Google, and will represent the largest number of devices launched simultaneously. The successor to Google’s Pixel Fold was originally expected to launch earlier this year, with the original debuting in June, but with the Tensor G4 under the hood, it looks increasingly like we’ll be seeing this device for the first time later in the year.

The leaked wallpapers also suggest four color variants for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, with only two options for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. These will be compatible with Google’s Pixel 8 series, though a fourth color option, “Mint,” didn’t debut until later.
