Also revealed on PlayStation BlogSony announced the November 2022 PlayStation Plus games Nioh 2, LEGO Harry Potter Collection, and Heavenly Bodies.
All three games will be made available at no additional cost to all PlayStation Plus subscribers on November 1. Nioh 2 is a Soulslike sequel released in 2020 that thrusts the player into the supernatural world of the Japanese legend, where he fights as a samurai warrior imbued with the supernatural Yokai. .
The player fights with fire, facing swarms of deadly Yokai, samurai warriors and giant monsters. PlayStation 5 owners will get access to the redesigned edition while PlayStation 4 owners will get the standard edition.
In our 9/10 review, IGN said: “Nioh 2 is an impressive evolution of its predecessor, enhancing everything that was already great, while leaving already existing issues alone. Its stellar combat level has been raised by the addition of Soul Cores, Burst Counters, and Roads that These two major new mechanisms affect the enemy’s AI and how they handle battles.”
The LEGO Harry Potter Collection puts two classic building titles into one package, allowing players to journey through Hogwarts each year as Harry Potter and friends (and foes). Each features a main campaign but also plenty of side and unlockable content, and there’s plenty to keep you busy in this two-game combo pack.
“LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is a love letter to fans of The Boy Who Lived,” IGN said in our 8/10 review of the first game. The second performed well, as IGN said: “Traveler’s Tales clearly made the 5-7 with a lot of love, and great attention to detail.”
Finally, Heavenly Bodies puts the player in space as they try to make their way through physics-based scenarios, either alone with a friend in a local co-op. Using the left and right sticks to push and pull, each level is inspired by a famous moment in the history of space exploration.
PlayStation hasn’t said (oddly) when these three new games will be available until October 31, but last month’s games – Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot – will be available until October 31.
