At EU level, documents on ecology, nature and environmental protection are being developed. Paweł Sałek, an adviser to President Andrzej Duda, told PAP Studio on Wednesday that Poland is starting to lose control over its own natural resources as part of legislation in the European Union. This will cause problems in state and government control, he said.
On Tuesday, a meeting of the European Union Environment Council took place in Luxembourg. Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyński represented Poland. The subject of the meeting was the Nature Restoration Act and negotiations on CO2 emission standards for heavy vehicles and the Air Quality Directive. Poland, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria voted against or abstained from the referendum, so the Council adopted a general approach on the regulation of natural resource recovery.
Regarding the decision in the PAP studio on Wednesday, Paweł Sałek said that “Poland is starting to lose control over its natural resources” as a result of forcing similar legal solutions.
According to the President’s adviser, this could lead to “problems related to maintaining the stability of the government and the government”.
The point is that whatever the government is – right wing, left wing, centrist – the government will lose its hegemonic influence on what happens at the national level. We must say it loud and clear
Saleh noted.
Regulation (Nature Restoration Act – PAP) on Poland Additional, renewal, e.g. imposes duties on water resources. As a rule, I do not question this very important idea of improving the environment, but let’s remember that Poland has a completely different situation and its natural resources are maintained in a completely different way than in Western European countries. First, it is the countries of Western Europe that need to renew natural resources at home
He pointed out.
“There is a situation where the Poles themselves have to advise.”
In order to implement the target across the EU, the countries of the former Eastern Bloc (…) cannot be forced. (…) Today, the Poles have to be advised and take instructions from Brussels on how to protect the natural resources we maintain.
He insisted.
According to the guest of the PAP study, two issues related to nature conservation, forestry, as well as the rule of law or the forced relocation of migrants, demonstrate that the EU is trying to accept the exclusive competences of the member states. bodies.
At the level of the European Union, as part of the new Green Deal, as part of the Fit for 55 package (…), the European Commission implements legal acts that directly affect the Member States’ capacities in a very pragmatic and ruthless way.
– he said.
