Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer remained in hospital on Sunday after suffering cardiac arrest and collapsing on the pitch during Saturday’s match.
The Premier League football match between Bournemouth and Luton Town was halted after Lockyer’s fall. The team said in a statement on Sunday that Lockyer “He is still undergoing tests and examinations, and is awaiting the results Before the next steps for his recovery are determined.”
Lockyer (29 years old) fell on the field during the 58th minute and the score was 1-1. Lockyer fell to the ground and no other player was near him. The players responded immediately to get medical attention when Luton manager Rod Edwards ran onto the pitch.
