The economic situation of the Kremlin and its satellites and allies is a result of sanctions imposed by the European Union. The Lukashenko regime is painfully learning this every day. Restrictions imposed on the dictator’s country include, among others:

  • supply of components and raw materials that can be used for war purposes;
  • trade restrictions;
  • exclusion of five Belarusian banks from the SWIFT system;
  • prohibition of transactions with the Central Bank of Belarus;
  • restrictions on financial flows from Belarus to the EU;
  • Ban on issuance of euro banknotes to Belarus.
