Queen Camilla visited King Charles in hospital, a day after he underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The King went to the private London Clinic Hospital, near Regent's Park,Friday morning and is said to be in good condition after the operation.
It is not known how long he will remain there but it is expected to be at least until the end of this weekend.
Before the operation, he visited the Princess of Wales, who had abdominal surgery at the same hospitallast week.
Catherine's treatment was successfulBut she is not expected to resume her royal duties for months, Kensington Palace said.
It is also understood she will remain at the London clinic over the weekend.
The Queen's visit to her husband on Saturday afternoon reportedly lasted about three hours.
Last week, the palace revealed the 75-year-old king's plan to take “corrective action”. On Thursday, he traveled from Sandringham to London to undergo the operation.
An enlarged prostate is a benign β non-cancerous β problem that is common in older men, according to the NHS, with one in three men over the age of 50 experiencing some symptoms.
The medical treatment is not significant enough to require any constitutional changes to the king's role as head of state. There will be no need for “state advisors” who can stand by when the king is seriously ill.
The palace said the reason the king announced his diagnosis publicly was to send a message to other men to have their prostates checked and, after the disclosure, see the NHS website Increase in searches for prostate enlargementIt is an interest welcomed by doctors and charities.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said the king was “delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness” and added that he wanted to “thank all those who have sent their well wishes”.
Queen Camilla accompanied him to hospital in Marylebone, central London, on Friday.
Before leaving, she told people inside the hospital that her husband was βin good health, thank you.β
The Queen returned later on Friday evening for a visit that lasted about 90 minutes.
