Actor-director Satish Kaushik was cremated in Oshiwara, Mumbai on Thursday night, news agency ANI reports. The 66-year-old filmmaker died in New Delhi, allegedly of a heart attack. Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Ranbir Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan, Ishaan Khater, Pankaj Tripathi, Shahnaz Gill and others have arrived at Satish Kaushik’s residence in Mumbai to pay their last respects to the actor and filmmaker who died in New Delhi, allegedly of a heart attack. Salman Khan, who arrived late in the evening, was seen making his way through the crowd to the late actor’s residence. Shilpa Shetty arrived earlier and is seen outside the house. Satish Kaushik arrived in Delhi on Wednesday to attend a close friend’s Holi bash. However, later around 1 am, he was reported to have suffered a heart attack while on his way to the hospital. Anupam Kher told PTI, “He felt uncomfortable and asked the driver to take him to the hospital and on the way, he had a heart attack around 1 am.”
A day before his death, Satish Kaushik celebrated Holi with his friends in the industry at Javed Akhtar’s residence in Mumbai.
Satish Kaushik was an actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter. He is known for his roles in Almanac mr indiaBabu Bigger V Deewana MastanaAnd Shanu Ahmed in the British movie Sarah Gavron brick path. He also won the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian twice – in 1990 for Ram Lakhan and in 1997 for Sajan Chali Sasural.
