Employees of one of Samsung’s largest divisions were informed of the move in a memo at the end of April after cases of misuse of the technology occurred.

bloomberg On Tuesday, I reported that some employees uploaded sensitive code to ChatGPT.

ChatGPT is a viral AI chatbot trained on massive amounts of data and capable of generating response to user queries. It is a form of what is called generative artificial intelligence.

Samsung does not have its own AI product yet. ChatGPT is developed by US company OpenAI backed by Microsoft while other generative AI products include Google Bard. Despite recent limitations, Samsung is looking for ways in which generative AI can be safely used to enhance employee productivity and efficiency.
