Fans expected to see a continuation of Toni Storm and Mariah Mai’s ongoing feud with Saraya and Harley Cameron on this week’s episode of “AEW Dynamite,” as Mai and Saraya were scheduled to go head-to-head on Wednesday’s card. As announced on the AEW Control Center (Control Center video It has since gone private on YouTube). But hours before the show, Saraya published a cryptic post, then deleted it.

Some suspect that Saraya’s post on “Dynamite” made her first appearance and first defense of the TBS Championship against Skye Blue during the broadcast, after Blue interrupted Mone’s championship celebration and revealed that she was the one who attacked Mone backstage several weeks ago. At the end of the broadcast, AEW announced that Saraya’s match against May will take place next week.

The move comes on the same day that Wrestling Observer’s Brian Alvarez reported that AEW President Tony Khan, the promotion’s booker, was booking shows on the fly and changing plans at the last minute. The canceled Saraya match and the passive-aggressive reaction, combined with the surprisingly late announcement of the Mone vs. Blue, indicating another last-minute call from Khan. Saraya was recently seen fighting alongside Cameron, with the two losing to Storm and May on last week’s episode of “Dynamite.”
