See it in pictures: The “Ring of Fire” annular eclipse dazzles viewers

Rare solar eclipse – Known as the “Ring of Fire”.– Across the United States on Saturday. Eclipse watchers have been preparing for the dazzling event for weeks, as this is the last Annular solar eclipse It will be visible from the American sky until June 21, 2039, according to NASA.

An annular solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth and is at its furthest point from the Earth. Americans from Oregon to Texas was able to watch Eclipse this weekend. The solar eclipse in 2039 will only pass over the sky of Alaska.

The eclipse began after 8 a.m. local time in Oregon and ended at midday in Texas, according to NASA. This is how the “Ring of Fire” appeared.

At noon at the Alamo, the eyes of Texans and hundreds of visitors looked skyward.

“What’s better than having your photo taken in front of the Liberty Shrine here in Texas, with a solar eclipse in the background,” said Kate Rogers of the Alamo Trust.

In Bryce Canyon, Utah, people got out into nature to watch the eclipse, while others flocked to the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles to catch a glimpse.

John Cody flew to San Antonio from North Carolina to view the solar phenomenon. He witnessed the 2017 eclipse and didn’t want to miss this one.

“It’s really cool,” Cady said. “It doesn’t happen very often. I also think there have only been a few of them around the continental United States in the last couple of decades. It’s a neat thing.”

The next eclipse will occur in April 2024. It will be a total eclipse, meaning that from Maine to Texas, it will be dark briefly in the middle of the day.
