The exact cause of death of singer Sinead O’Connor has been revealed a year after her passing.
As reported New York times And Irish IndependentThe Irish singer died last year of “exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma as well as a low-grade lower respiratory tract infection.”
The information was first provided by her death certificate, which was registered last week. It was provided by her first husband, John Reynolds, who produced several of her albums including I’m not a boss, I’m the boss.the last album she completed before her death.
In January, the London Medical Examiner’s Office reported Hollywood Reporter “Therefore, the coroner has ceased to intervene in her death. No further comment will be made,” the office said in a statement.
O’Connor died at the age of 56 on July 26, 2023. The Grammy Award winner was found unconscious by police at her home in London, and was pronounced dead upon arrival. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
A year before her death, O’Connor announced that her 17-year-old son Shane had died after being reported missing. His body was found in the eastern Irish coastal town of Bray. The musician tweeted, “The light of my life, he decided to end his earthly struggle today and is with God now. May God have mercy on his soul and may no one follow him. My little one, I love you so much. Please rest in peace.”
