The loved ones of Slash’s deceased daughter Lucy Blue Knight are in mourning.
Following Knight’s death at the age of 25 on Friday, her mother, Megan Hodges, broke her silence about the tragedy.
Hodges commented on Mysterious Knight Instagram Account Which was published two days after her death.
“My little girl 🕊️🤍 I love you with everything I have. I’m so sorry,” Hodges wrote.
Hodges shared her deceased daughter with her ex-boyfriend Mark Knight. She had an initial relationship with Slash, 59, in 1989 before rekindling their relationship in 2015.
Knight was born on December 6, 1998. She died on July 19.
The newspaper confirmed on Tuesday that Knight’s autopsy had been completed, and that determining the cause of her death would be postponed until further tests were conducted.
Slash announced the death of his stepdaughter on Instagram on Sunday.
He described her as “an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist also asked for “privacy” and “that speculation on social media be kept to a minimum” so the family can “grieve and process this devastating loss.”
Knight posted a selfie of herself on her Instagram account two days after her death, along with a touching caption.
“Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/controlled you, asked you to quit your day job with the financial support my parents provide for me, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity – I am sorry,” the letter read.
She continued: “Countless opportunities and connections were lost because of a disgustingly big ego, an insecure heart and a fear of being exposed. I hope my soul learns to evolve from my poor job of being Lucy Blue.”
In the photo, Knight was looking away from the camera with a serious look on her face. She was wearing glasses and two necklaces.
The post was flooded with comments, including from Knight’s mother, who reacted to her tragic death.
“A sad message posted just hours before death, doesn’t that seem suspicious?” one person wrote.
“I can’t believe you can schedule a post. This must be so traumatic and difficult for her loved ones. I’m so sorry to everyone who loved her. This is so unfortunate,” another user said.
A third comment read: “It’s really sad to read this even for someone who didn’t know her. I felt while reading these comments that she was being too hard on herself and too loved.”
