It’s Pride Month, which means there are LGBT flags everywhere. This is true of the Nintendo eShop as well, although you may have to look closely to find it. Scroll down for a while in the Featured section and you’ll see that someone has quietly crept in a rainbow flag to draw attention to games with quirky characters and themes on Nintendo Switch. Nice to see, even if it’s a little overshadowed by several other signs.

The Nintendo eShop has a section called Hidden Gems, which is a regularly updated list of games that someone at Nintendo thinks you should be playing but might have missed. For now, though, the games on that list have a little more in common than just being favorites or titles that may have flown under the radar. You will find things like Lost regular phoneAnd Coffee talkAnd He went to the houseAnd Life is Strange: True ColorsAnd Ghost speed dating—All games that handle weirdness in some abilities.

All 11 hidden gems are offbeat AF

As spotted by YouTuber Chris “Campster” Franklin, the Hidden Gems list of 11 queer games doesn’t mention “Pride” in any capacity and is hidden away at the bottom of the Featured tab, which is the default window for the tiled games and sales listings you see when you open an eShop. on Nintendo Switch.

Is Nintendo trying to do [Pride] Sell while avoiding explicit mention [Pride] By name,” said Franklin. “Or am I just reading too much into this?”

While these hidden gems are slyly hidden in the eShop to put it mildly, it’s still great to see such cool toys getting more attention this Pride month. Takes night in the woods, an adventure game about a feral cat who commits crimes with a gay fox and hangs out with other anthropomorphic animals. (This game also happens to be a personal favourite.) Or an open world detective game Killer paradise, which includes a group of gender non-conforming people. Hell, even a cute adventure game Pogsnax Normalizing different gender identities using appropriate pronouns, thus treating gender fluidity as normal.

Kotaku I have reached out to Nintendo for comment.
