SpaceX on Wednesday night aims to launch another Falcon 9 rocket carrying a payload of Starlink satellites, a National Geographic-Intelligence Agency navigation warning indicates.
The launch window will span 4 and a half hours from 7:29 PM to 11 PM. The Starlink 6-44 mission will launch from Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
Mission: Falcon 9 will deploy a payload of Starlink Internet satellites. To date, SpaceX's growing high-speed broadband constellation has amassed more than 2.6 million customers.
“Since the beginning of the year, teams have deployed and tested 193 different satellite software releases, 75 Gateway software releases, 222 Starlink software releases, and 57 WiFi software releases,” SpaceX officials said in a report the company posted on Twitter on Friday.

No local sonic spikes are expected after Wednesday's launch. Instead, after soaring toward the sky along a southeast trajectory, the Falcon 9's first stage booster will aim to land on a drone ship at sea 8 1/2 minutes after liftoff.

Wednesday's launch will follow on the heels of Sunday night's spectacular launch of a similar SpaceX Starlink mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Sunday's launch was the 16th so far in 2024 from the Space Coast. Last year's tally of 72 orbital launches broke the annual record set at the Cape.
