Spring Creek Motocross hosts Round 7 of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship today as the track makes a stop at one of the most popular tracks this summer. Heat could be a factor today, as we expect high temperatures to reach 80 degrees Fahrenheit, with humidity around 70 percent.

As for the championship, Hayden Deegan remains in the driver’s seat in the 250 class, but Chance Hymas has the hot hand after taking his first overall win last weekend at the Redbud National. Hymas now has the most laps led (80) and has two moto wins (tied for second in the class with It looks like Himase, Masterball, and Go Shimoda are now teaming up mid-season, so we can expect to see some good battles again this week.

In the premier class, Chase Sexton has one win and one tie at the Redbud National, putting him into today’s race not only with a points lead in the 450 Pro Motocross class, but also a points lead in the 450SMX SuperMotocross World Championship. Hunter Lawrence, who currently sits second in the 450 Pro Motocross standings, will be ready for battle as Aaron Plessinger, Justin Cooper, Jason Anderson and others look to secure the final podium spot.
