Taylor Swift not in Chiefs-Vikings game, Travis Kelce injured – Billboard

Taylor Swift was not in attendance at the Chiefs-Vikings game on Sunday (October 8), as her rumored romantic interest, Travis Kelce, suffered an injury. Earlier in the game, which was broadcast on CBS, on-air commentator Jim Nantz confirmed that Swift was nowhere to be seen at Minneapolis, Minnesota’s U.S. Bank Stadium.

“In case you’re wondering, seven words I never thought would leave my lips in my career: Taylor Swift is not in the game.” Nantz announced. “This is the first time. I never said that before. There are some broken-hearted people I just saw in the stands.”

The camera panned to one of Swift’s fans holding a sign and holding out hope that she would show up. Her sign asked what many were thinking: “Where’s Taylor?” A photo from Getty Images, shown below, shows another fan displaying a clever sign, indicating that 87 (Kelsey’s number) and 13 (Swift’s lucky number) equal 100%. “Kelce makes Swift TD,” the message read.

Others appeared in the stands wearing T-shirts with “SWIFTIE” written on the back.

While Swift wasn’t there to personally cheer Kelce on, as she has in the Chiefs’ last two games, the tight end apparently tripped on the field and suffered a non-contact injury. Kelce was seen leaving the field, taking off his helmet, and heading to the locker room.

Kelce returned to the sideline with his right ankle securely wrapped.

Commentator Tracy Wolfson provided an update: “Travis Kelce is still on the sideline right now, but as you can see, helmet on, that right foot is wrapped. I was just told he’s going to try it out. They’re leaving it up to him. He wants to play in this game you guys”.

Kelce reportedly suffered what was presumed to be a high ankle sprain. The reports said The medical staff allowed Kelsey to return if he wanted to. He eventually returned to the game AndShortly after his return, he scored a goal.

“Kelce got off the X-ray table and found the end zone,” the announcer said.
