It seems like Taylor Swift also can't get enough of Ryan Gosling as Kane.
On Saturday's episode of Saturday Night Liveand was joined by host Ryan Gosling Scapegoat Co-star Emily Blunt sang Taylor Swift's hit song “All Too Well” during the monologue.
The setup was such that Gosling initially said he wouldn't talk about it Barbie character on the show but changed his mind and decided to sing about his feelings.
“You know, when you're playing a character this intense, for this long, just letting it feel like a breakup and processing the breakup, there's only one thing that can help: great Taylor Swift music,” Gosling said as he sat down. He sits at the piano and wears sunglasses and a white fur coat similar to his character in the movie.
Gosling then proceeded to sing: “I tore up Venice Beach that's true / My clothes were tight / But something about that spandex felt so right / I left my skates in that big pink house / But I still got my fur coat and I'm gonna wear this now.” “
He continued: “If I said I was fine, you know I'd be lying / 'Cause I was just Kane and now I'm just Ryan.”
Blunt showed up to try to force Gosling out of it but ended up singing a tribute to her Oppenheimer character, Kitty, alongside him.
For its part, Swift to publish Approval thing on Instagram.
She wrote (in all capital letters): “EVERYTHING IS OKAY (Ryan & Emily's Version)!!! Accidentally watch me sing this version on tour. This monologue is everything.”
Swift ended her post with a hand emoji indicating a heart and clapping.
