Ted Lasso season 3 sets spring premiere date, first look at Ted & Nate

Season 3 of the hit sitcom on Apple TV+Ted Lassowill premiere in the spring of 2023. The season also has a new first image, shown above, depicting Ted (Jason Sudeikis) and Nathan (Nick Muhammad) facing off against each other after they become rivals in the season 2 finale.

The news came from Apple’s presentation during the Television Critics Association’s winter 2023 press tour, which also featured the creator of “Ted Lasso”. Bill Lawrence and writer/star Brett Goldstein on a panel discussion about their upcoming comedy series, “Shrinking.” When asked about “Ted Lasso” during the panel, Lawrence was pretty mum about season 3 but said, “I’ve seen the cuts, which is amazing,” Goldstein also emphasized his pride in the season.

Although no official confirmation has been issued, it has long been believed that Season 3 will be the end of “Ted Lasso” – due in large part to cast members’ comments. “Ted Lasso” follows its main character, a junior college football coach from Kansas who is hired to coach a professional football team in England, despite having no football coaching experience. At the end of Season 2, feeling snubbed by Ted, Nathan leaves the Richmond AFC to coach a rival team owned by Richmond’s landlord’s (Hannah Waddingham) ex-husband (Anthony Head). It also stars Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Jono Temple, and Phil Dunster.

Sudeikis serves as an executive producer alongside Bill Lawrence through the Doozer Productions banner, in association with Warner Bros. Pictures. Television and Universal Television. Doozer’s Jeff Ingold also serves as executive producer with Liza Katzer as co-executive producer. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Hunt, and Joe Kelly, and is based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.
