CBS opens Portals.
The Paramount Global-backed streaming network has delivered an official series order to gates, The first black daytime television series in 35 years.
The network announced Monday that the series, which follows the lives of a wealthy black family in a luxurious, gated community, will debut in January 2025. The exact timeslot, launch date and other details will be revealed later.
The official pickup of the series comes a month after CBS announced it was teaming up with the NAACP to develop Portals, where the news refers to showing confidence in the text.
