The head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad has warned that Iran plans to deliver more weapons to Russia, while Tehran continues to deny it supports Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
Mossad chief David Barnea spoke to employees at the president’s residence in Jerusalem and stressed that his agency “continues to warn On the future of Iran and its intentionswhich it is trying to hide,” including Tehran’s efforts to “deepen and expand the supply of advanced weapons to Russia.”
Allegedly Iran Moscow supplied weapons Over the past few months, starting with a shipment of Shahed-136 “Kamikaze” drones. Tehran has repeatedly denied supplying any weapons to Russia, saying it “has not and will not” do so.
But Parnia said in a speech to his agency’s staff that they shared intelligence with Western allies earlier in the year that proved Iran plans to share the drones with Russia, with plans to prepare more deliveries in the coming months, Iran International reported.
Parnia also called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) – also known as the Iran nuclear deal – a “ridiculous” agreement, echoing criticism from Prime Minister-elect Benjamin Netanyahu.
