The helicopter carrying the Iranian president crashed. Services already know what’s causing it

Why is it important?

An Iranian helicopter crashed in East Azerbaijan province on May 19. Eight people including Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahiyan were killed.

What are the details of the investigation?

Iran’s Fars agency, citing its sources in the intelligence services, said on Wednesday that the cause of the disaster was not the actions of foreign services, but the weather.

During the three-month trial, around 30,000 people were tested. People and human factors were excluded and no traces of chemical substances were found in the machine. The possibility of sabotage was also ruled out.
