This is unbelievable: the PS5 has been out there for so much more two years now, but she’s spent most of that time unavailable. Now platform owner Sony has finally got their supply chain in check, and they’ve unexpectedly discounted the device, with the God of War Ragnarok bundle available until April 16, 2023 for $509.99. This represents a savings of $50 over MSRP.
The package is also widely available, from retailers such as PlayStation DirectAnd AmazonAnd Goal, and Best Buy — though with a caveat, this offer will only be honored until stocks last. The stand holder has set some very strong sales targets for the current fiscal year, and we’ll assume that’s part of his recent push to achieve them.

If you haven’t picked up a PS5 yet, there’s probably never been a better time to get one: the release schedule is full of great games, PSVR2 It has greatly expanded the range of experiences available on the system, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is just around the corner. There are rumors of a revised device model with a detachable hard drive launching later this year, but this isn’t likely to change much to the base experience.
Meanwhile, the hypothetical PS5 Pro has been teased by some tipsters, but it’s not likely to arrive until late 2024 at the earliest – if it exists at all. Sony introduced the PS4 Pro at this point during the previous generation, but it looks like the PS5’s life may be extended due to the pandemic and the current economic climate, so there’s really never been a better time to buy.
