Sony will use the new “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label to tell players which games take advantage of the console's new capabilities, according to Documents that I viewed Indoor games yesterday. The outlet writes that to get the sticker, the game must offer the PS5 Pro graphics mode, which includes PSSR for 4K upscaling, a stable 60fps frame rate, and added or improved ray tracing.. It is also said to indicate higher resolution for both fixed and variable refresh rate gaming.
The site says the internally named “Trinity Enhanced” branding will be similar to the “PS4 Pro Enhanced” branding from the last generation PlayStation (or the “X|S” branding that denotes games with enhancements like better loading times or higher frame rates). It also tells players when the game will be given graphical upgrades specific to the then-new system, but not necessarily what the mix of improvements is.
Rumors have suggested that the PS5 Pro will launch at the end of 2024, which puts it roughly a year after the launch of the smaller PS5 last November. Compared to the vanilla PS5, it may offer up to 4 times the ray tracing performance, a 10 percent higher copy of the console's original CPU, 28 percent faster memory, and up to a 45 percent improvement in rendering performance.
