The second-generation Apple Watch Ultra is coming this fall, a new large iMac “in early development” with a screen larger than 30 inches

in Bloomberg Power On NewsletterToday, Mark Gurman reported on the roadmap for upcoming Apple products. Along with the iPhone 15 lineup this fall, customers can expect the launch of the Apple Watch Series 9 and second-generation Apple Watch Ultra.

More updates to the Mac lineup, like the M3 MacBook and MacBook Pro, aren’t expected until later this year or early 2024. Notably, Gurman reports new iMacs with 24-inch displays, after skipping the M2 generation. Just like in addition to a brand new iMac model with a screen larger than 30 inches (this could be the long-awaited Apple Silicon successor to the iMac Pro.)

For context, the old 27-inch Intel iMac Pro featured Xeon CPU parts, which naturally align with Apple’s Silicon Ultra chipset platform as seen in Mac Studio and Mac Pro.

Gurman didn’t say the exact specifications of the >30-inch iMac, other than saying it’s in early development. This means we don’t yet know if it includes an M3 chip, an M3 Pro chip, an M3 Ultra chip, or something else entirely.

Gurman also reiterated that iPad updates are in the pipeline for 2024, including iPad Pro models with OLED screens and an updated iPad Air.

The third generation AirPods Pro, the new Apple TV set-top box and other smart home products are also said to be “in early development”.
