Investigating data for two million flights from the Bureau of Transport, the newly released Places to Travel report concluded that from January 2023 to February 2024, passengers lost 2,100,140 hours and 43 minutes of travel. travel time As a result of the delay.

“The airlines currently operating out of Provo do not have spare aircraft or flight crews sitting in Provo to complete the schedule during the long delay,” he added. “Apart from the first flights of the day, flights departing from Provo cannot depart until the aircraft has arrived from their previous destinations, resulting in all-day delays at each previous stop.”
Torgersen added that other airports that are at the top of the list are facing the same issues due to offering non-stop service to destinations as well. Airplanes experiencing mechanical problems or severe weather without a backup can cause delays throughout the day.
On average, Beehive State Airport disrupts travel with an average delay time of 1 hour and 43 minutes. Of the 2,194 flights surveyed into and out of Provo, 39.74% were delayed.
A representative with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) provided FOX Business with safe summer travel documents on its website ahead of the busy months ahead.

According to the report, average delay times at Orlando Sanford International Airport in Florida for passengers are 1 hour and 35 minutes.
From January 2023 to February 2024, 9,847 flights landed in Orlando-Sanford, and 28.09% of them were delayed. The report shows that passengers faced delays of 4,095 days, or 11 years.
