Mariupol is a city that became a symbol of public anguish during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It was almost razed to the ground, and one of the Russians’ special acts of cruelty was the bombing of the theater in March 2022, where hundreds of residents, including many children, took refuge from the fire. According to estimates, up to 600 people died. Another incident that was reported by the media around the world was the shelling of a maternity hospital.
“The number one killer has been identified among the residents of Mariupol. The one who ordered and supervised the bombing of the theater, maternity hospital and children’s hospital. In the first weeks, we established that Mariupol bombers took off from Primorsko-Akhtarsk airport,” Petro Andryushchenko, advisor to the Mariupol mayor, wrote in Telegram. He also posted a photo of Sergey Adroshchenko.
Andryushchenko adds that everyone must now “work together as a team” to make both the identified colonel and the other “killer pilots” pay for their crimes.
