A three-day G7 summit
The three-day G7 summit begins Thursday in Puglia, southern Italy. The group’s annual meeting of leaders will focus on Russia’s war against Ukraine and armed conflicts in the Middle East.

The G7 finance ministers meeting in Piedmont at the end of May decided to postpone consideration of options on the matter until this summit of heads of state and government.
Sources in Brussels said on Tuesday that the EU expects an agreement to be reached in Puglia on using profits from frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine.
