The world’s most dominant women’s basketball team will take to the court for the first time at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris when Team USA takes on Japan on Monday.
The U.S. team is seeking its eighth consecutive gold medal, and comes into the game on a 55-game winning streak dating back to the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona. Japan is simply unlikely to threaten this series against a star-studded U.S. squad led by WNBA stars A’ja Wilson, Brittney Griner, Brianna Stewart and Diana Taurasi. While the veterans will hope to continue Team USA’s dominance, rookie Caitlin Clark was not selected to the team.
MGM House The United States leads Japan by 20.5 points.
The U.S. men’s basketball team scored a big win over Serbia in the opening game of the Olympics on Sunday. Can the women follow suit?
