USC vs. UCLA score: Live game updates, college football scores, top 25 NCAA events today

No. 7 USC takes a 34-31 lead over No. 16 UCLA heading into the fourth quarter of a crucial Pac-12 showdown between crosstown rivals. Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams leads the offense with 378 passing yards and a touchdown on the ground and through the air.

With superstar Travis Day back for the rest of the season due to injury, Williams is taking on a bigger load than usual and doing it with poise. The Trojans scored six of their final seven possessions and drove deep into UCLA territory as the fourth quarter began. UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson Robinson plays through obvious pain and has been up and down the entire game with three total touchdowns to go along with three costly turnovers.

With No. 5 Tennessee’s loss at South Carolina on Saturday night, USC’s path to the College Football Playoff has become even more viable. But it is crucial for the Trojans to win in order to have a chance to get into the four-team field. A place in the Pac-12 Championship game is also at stake for USC, while UCLA can keep its hopes of qualifying for the game alive as well if it can pull off a victory.
