After a bit of confusion surrounding developer Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater since the remake was revealed yesterday, Konami has now clarified that Virtuos Studio is indeed supporting development. It’s the team rumors he’s been talking about in the months leading up to it PlayStation Show ad, so it comes as a little surprise.
“In addition to the Konami development team involved in the development of the Metal Gear series, the game is fully supported by Virtuos, a development company collaborating with the previous Metal Gear series,” said a spokesperson for Virtuos, a development company collaborating with the previous Metal Gear series. Virtuos is well known for its ports and has assisted with a number of projects over the past decade. Ported in Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster to PS3 and PS Vita, brought Batman: Return to Arkham to PS4, and Guerrilla Games assisted with art on Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West last year. Most recently, it produced a poorly received PS5 remaster of The Outer Worlds. Corrections for this version are still ongoing.
