Week two is always one of the best weeks of NFL seasons. It’s Sunday when everyone collectively asks “Are any of these teams any good?” These ratings will reflect that.
Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs were excluded, of course.
Sunday saw the Baltimore Ravens lead by 21 points, the Los Angeles Rams nearly edged out by 25, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost in New Orleans, and South Asian favorites Indianapolis Colts lost again in Jacksonville.
The San Francisco 49ers are back in the .500, but likely Midfielder Trey Lance lost for this season.
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers got back on track with a win over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field.
Here each team sits after the week of the second Sunday.
32. Carolina Panthers (0-2): Matt Roll is 5-16 in the Poc games since the start of 2020. He tells me he and Nebraska aren’t quite the right fit.
31. Atlanta Falcons (0-2): The universe could not afford the return of the Hawks from a deficit of 28-3. It should have come back short.
30 – Seattle Seahawks (1-1): Placing the Seahawks four runs in the field only to throw an interception was perfect. There are no notes.
29. Washington leaders (1-1): Leaders are who we thought they were. Over/Under On How many games did Carson Wentz leave as a NFL starter? six? eight? It can’t be many.
28. Indianapolis Colts (0-1-1): Jim Irsai is about to kick everyone out.
27 – Houston Texans (0-1-1): The Texans begged the Broncos to win Sunday’s game. Finally, Mile High Ponies commits. Texas isn’t ready to win anything yet.
26. Cleveland Browns (1-1): Brownie the Elf could not save Brown from interfering against the aircraft.
25 – New York Jets (1-1): Robert Salih said he will keep the receipts of everyone who mocks the planes. After erasing a 13-point lead in 92 seconds, it might be time to unleash some of them.
24. Tennessee Titans (0-1): Tennessee State looks like a team that could collapse early. Josh Allen isn’t the quarterback you want to see when you’re trying to find your footing early.
23. Chicago Bears (1-1): The bear attack was impressive on the first written command. after, after? Not much.
22. Las Vegas Raiders (0-2): Raiders owner Mark Davis earned his title when the Las Vegas Aces won the WNBA Championship on Sunday. You don’t have to worry about Vegas’ massive stifling mission against the Cardinals until Tuesday at the earliest.
21- Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1): The Jags became the highest-rated team in the AFC South because they had a good win.
20 – New York Giants (2-0): I still don’t think the Giants are good. But 2-0 is 2-0.
19. Detroit Lions (1-1): The Lions scored 30 or more points in three consecutive games for the first time since 1997. Things may change in Detroit.
18 – Cincinnati Bengals (0-2): The Bengals have been terrible in the first two games and they still have a chance to win both. This is something… I think.
17. Arizona Cardinals (1-1): Killer Murray, Byron Murphy and Isaiah Simmons could have saved the Cardinals’ season. However, there are still many issues in the desert.
16. Dallas Cowboys (1-1): Duck who? (It’s a joke.)
15 – Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1): Mitchell Trubesky was the wise move when it looked like the defense could carry the Steelers to the supplement berth. With TJ Watt out, it might be time to strut around with Kenny Pickett. The Steelers have nothing to lose.
14. New England Patriots (1-1): Gunner Olszewski said he wants to make his old team remember him. Instead, his own team’s mistake ended up giving New England a much-needed win in Pittsburgh. Bill Belichick appreciates this gesture, Gunner.
13. New Orleans Saints (1-1): Buck quarterback Devin White perfectly summed up James Winston after Tampa Bay’s 20-10 win in New Orleans: “We knew he was going to give us the ball.”
12 – Denver Broncos (1-1): Nathaniel Hackett may not have been ready for the big time.
11. San Francisco 49ers (1-1): Don’t stand up for Kyle Shanahan for his continued use of the franchise QB Trey Lance as the battering and injuring ram. If Shanahan was a genius playing player, you’d think he’d be able to devise a way to use Lance’s sports without repeatedly bumping him into the defensive teeth.
10- Los Angeles Rams (1-1): The rams avoided a massive crash against the hawks. But they still got rid of the hangover from the Super Bowl.
9. Green Bay Packers (1-1): Getting the ball to Aaron Jones seems to be a recipe for success.
8 – Baltimore Ravens (1-1): Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are still running free against Ravens High School.
7. Miami Dolphins (2-0): Mike McDaniel, Terek Hill and Jaylene Waddell may save Tua Tagoviloa’s career.
6. Los Angeles Chargers (1-1): All that matters in Los Angeles is Justin Herbert’s Broken Rib Cartilage. The good news is that Chargers doctors have a good track record with chest injuries.
5. Minnesota Vikings (1-0): Vikings could make a statement Monday night in Philly. Unfortunately, Kirk Cousins’ primetime record isn’t exactly stellar.
4 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0): Tom Brady may want to reconsider retirement after watching Box’s criminal struggle against the Saints’ defense who had issues with Marcus Mariota and the Hawks in the first week.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0): Philly’s defense looked old and sluggish against the Lions in the first week. Can the Eagles stop Justin Jefferson? walking over them at the peak?
2. Kansas City Chiefs (2-0): Patrick Mahomes should take his luck Thursday night and head to Vegas. The Chargers dropped four potential interceptions in Kansas City’s 27-24 win.
1. Buffalo Bills (1-0): Giants smashed Josh Allen for fourth near the goal line in the final seconds of Tennessee’s win over Buffalo. Don’t think the Allen and the Bills have forgotten that as Monday night’s showdown approaches.
