They buried her brother without her knowledge. She was not at the funeral
The website ru.krymr.com describes how the whole process was on the example of the Russian Alena. His brother Arthur fought in the Ukraine. He is a mercenary from the Wagner group. One day, he wrote on WhatsApp to “Służba 200”, which organizes funerals within the company. She asked about the status of the mercenaries employed in the organization led by Prigozhin.
She was asked to take a photo of her passport to prove her identity. It only took her a few minutes to get the sad news. “Please accept my condolences, your brother died on 5th April [br.] from a bullet wound,” we read. Later, she learned that the body was ready to be transported to Russia.
She was soon told it was “ready for the taking”, so she went to see her brother one last time – but the evidence did not say where the body was handed over. “It was in bad shape,” the website explains. “He had a thin face and a long beard. He had black hair since childhood, but when they brought him, it was white,” says Alena, quoted by ru.krymr.com. She met him thanks to the scar on her eyebrow.
Alena added that her brother was buried near the village of Bakinskaya in the Krasnodar region of southern Russia. Unbeknownst to his sister, he was buried in a cemetery where hundreds of mercenaries from Wagner’s group rest. Alena did not get a chance to say goodbye to her brother during the funeral.
